The 9-hole golf course Rheinfelden is located directly below the Feldschlösschen brewery. The most beautiful industrial building in Europe is enthroned above the course as an impressive backdrop, and although the course is located close to the city between the railway and the motorway, the motorway is not often noticed. The high noise level of the freight trains, however, is tiresome. Thanks to the water-permeable gravel subsoil, the course dries very quickly and is therefore playable all year round.
Already at the first tee the visitor notices the high quality of this course. The course maintenance is first class. The architect John Chilver-Stainer (also architect of Golf Fricktal and Golf Laufental) has made the best out of the terrain and managed to create a varied golf course from a simple layout. Although the course is not very long with a par 68 and 2600 meters in length, you have to place your second shot very accurately if you want to play your handicap. The greens are relatively undulating and therefore demanding.
The whole driving range is equipped with a modern track tee system. There is a terminal on the driving range where you can book and pay green fees, ball tickets and pro lessons. With the cooperation of the Pro’s and the Golf Medical Clinic (the Reha Rheinfelden) there is an excellent offer for the improvement of technique and fitness in golf.
