The 9-hole golf course Aaretal is situated in Kiesen, not far from the city centre of Bern and Thun, and is criss-crossed by rivers. Aare, Chise and Rotache meet on the course. The most important watercourse of the three is the Aare. It is also the name giver of the vegetation-rich Aare valley, whose spacious grounds serve as the location for the golf club of the same name.
The golf course with its par 31 was designed by the architect John Chilver-Stainer in a very varied way. Particularly challenging are the generously laid out stepped greens, which require precise approach shots and good putting, and at tee-off 2 you can enjoy a magnificent panorama of the Bernese Alps. The view of the Emmental is also beautiful from the Green 8.
The driving range offers 40 teeing grounds for your individual training. Unique in the Bern region is the short game course with approach-ching, chipping and putting greens.
In the Club Restaurant Green, the dishes on the menu are prepared with top-quality fresh natural products.
